Keeping in Touch!

With the Covid_19 Pandemic travel to Uganda from Canada has been suspended. Fortunately, we have representatives in Uganda who can visit schools to check progress, make recommendations and encourage the school communities. Recently Robert Sekisambu, our representative based in Kampala, made a trip to Eastern Uganda. His trip included six schools where Classrooms for Africa has recently completed projects, where projects are in progress or are waiting for funding.

Robert’s report shows he was very well received by all school communities and they were very appreciative of his input. The information Robert relayed to us is extremely helpful as we plan and move forward.

Faith Nursery and Primary School

Vineyard Christian School

Previously completed classrooms and admin blocks funded through Classrooms for Africa
 Work started on dormitory, funded so far by the local community - still waiting for a donor

Cornerstone High School              

Completed classrooms, science block and administration block funded through Classrooms for Africa
 Work is scheduled to start on additional classrooms and a kitchen in 2021

Okweta Nursery and Primary School

Completed primary school campus funded through Classrooms for Africa
 A donor is committed to funding staff housing

Bright Lillies Primary School

The school currently occupies a rented facility with small, inadequate classrooms. Land has been purchased nearby and the school now waits for funding for permanent classrooms.
