Broadway Nursery and Primary School in Masaka, Uganda, recently completed a new classroom block to help accomodate the large number of students who attend the school. In 2015 it came to the attention of Classrooms for Africa that the school enroled over 350 students in Pre-kindergarten through Grade 7 levels. The children come from the slum area of Nyendo and many live at the school because they have been abandoned and have no home. The school was very short on classroom space, each classroom accommodating upwards of 60 students. A donor in Edmonton, Alberta, took on the challenge of funding ablock of 4 classrooms. This building is now complete. The 2016 school year saw the enrolment increase to well over 500 students. Thank you donor - you have made a huge difference to the lives of the destitute children of Masaka. The pictures below tell more of the story.
