The much anticipated education building for the New Hope Centre in Lodwar, Kenya is now complete and will open its doors to the students in August once the solar panels are installed. The “garbage dump” children of the town will finally have a place to call their own where they will be able to continue their education in a secure environment. With funding provided through Classrooms for Africa, the Open School Program was initiated last summer.
Teachers have been trained in the curriculum developed specifically for children who have for one reason or another been deprived of educational opportunities.
Thank you, donors in Alberta Canada, for your support and for enabling this project to materialize.
