Background:

Ngome Vocational Secondary School, located in Burumbika Village, Kasese District, was started in 2013. The school began in order to provide secondary education in the remote areas of the Kyondo sub-county to provide skills and vocational training to the youth who failed to make it up to higher levels of education. These include young mothers, school dropouts, and other neglected youth.

Currently the school has a total of 164 students, the majority of which are female. Out of 164 students, 60 students are enrolled into vocational training, especially tailoring.
