Background:

God’s Glory Nursery and Primary School is a Christian founded community school in the Tororo District of Uganda. The school serves orphans and vulnerable children and those from poor families of ages between 3 to 14 years (Nursery and Primary children).

The school was established in 2015 on a hired piece of land by a couple, Geoffrey and Miriam, both being teachers in primary schools to address the need for quality, affordable and sustainable  education with Christian values in the area. In the beginning, the school operated in three temporary classrooms made from mud and wattle accommodating Kindergarten and primary one children. The school operated for 2 years in the temporary classrooms before the district department of education ordered for its closure due to lack of proper facilities. Through strategic and effective leadership and active community involvement and participation in making bricks, etc, a 2 acre piece of land was bought and construction of the walls of permanent classrooms began in 2016 with the first 4 classrooms and later 2. Roofing of the six classrooms was done in 2017.

In 2022 the six classroom block was completed, and new latrines were built. This was followed by the constuction of a three classroom block. Thank you donors!
