background:

St. Patrick Primary School is located in Nkozi village in the Mpigi District of south-eastern Uganda. The land on which the school is situated is owned by the Bannakaroli Brothers, a Ugandan Catholic order. Started in 2005, St. Patrick strives to offer quality education to the students from the surrounding area as well as those who come from further afield and stay in the school dormitories. The school currently enrols nearly 400 students.

The initial intake for the Special Needs program will be approximately 20, growing eventually to about 60. Many of the students are sponsored by a Belgian non-profit group "Kids for Uganda", which provides their school fees.
